So the Rangers are interested in guys like Matt Kemp, Carlos Gonzalez, Carlos Gomez, and Fernando Martinez? Wow. Way to go, Rangers.

rofl. Yeah i know tolo, I was thinking that too. What do they have that they can offer for any of those guys? I dont know anything abt the Texas farm system, but besides Ian Kinsler I wouldnt have any interest on anybody on their roster, not for FMart or Gomez.

I HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO RECEIVE AN XBOX360. DUDE!!!!

So it's official. The Dodgers are the only team in baseball that DON'T want Matt Kemp on their team.

i would trade lastings milledge for jarrod saltalamaccia since the mets need a catcher if they dont want estrada

yeah, whooz wudda thunk tit...
Why doesnt Tex just contact Cleveland for a OFer though ~ guys like Ben Francisco and S.S.Choo-Choo train are available without selling the farm.

Yeah sorry, trying to kill some of the more annoying ads that have surfaced here.

The rangers arent trading Salty for Milledge. It is just absurd. Although Saltamachia is like their only trade piece that I know of besides Kinsler, who I love.

This just in...Texas likes the best young players in baseball!!!
Kemp will start for the Dodgers on opening day. It seems that Colletti has been distancing himself from the trade possibilities currently out there.
And besides...If Kemp gets traded i lose a large bet. I have to blow a hobo if it goes down...fingers crossed!!!

as collateral*

It would be interesting to see a bunch of Dodger fans storm Colletti's office and hold him hostage. Does he have children? Maybe some dodger fans can steal one of his kids and collateral to make sure Kemp and Kershaw arent dealt.

TEX has zero near-ready OF prospects except for maybe Brandon Boggs and even he's iffy. We have a surplus of C prospects in Teagarden, Max Ramirez, Manny Pina, and Salty not to mention Laird who's still relatively young. Wonder if anyone would like a young C in exchange for a young OF'er.

Seems to be a lot of bashing of the Rangers farm system and their young guys here, though i would say they have some of the better young talent in baseball. Saltalamacchia, Elvis Andrus, Eric Hurley, Ian Kinsler, Brandon McCarthy, Thomas Diamond, Edison Volquez, Matt Harrison, Joaquin Arias, John Mayberry, Taylor Teagarden, Max Ramirez, Engel Beltre, David Murphy. Even though maybe only a handful of those guys could be stars (pretty much the first three i listed) but every one of those guys could end up becoming at least league average.

i know it's hard for fans of other teams to follow everyone's farm system, but dont rip on it til you do some research. until the deadline last year, it was pretty weak. but after having 5 of the first 80 or so picks in last years draft and acquiring names like andrus, harrison, feliz, jones, ramirez, and beltre at the deadline, they are probably in the top ten ranking of farm systems.
and ofcourse they are interested in young mlb ready outfielders, thats just a writer stating the obvious. but everyone who has commented that they dont have anyone to trade is flat out wrong. the only negative is most of their prospects are still 2 years away.
