i mean, im sure noones with me, but what about signing pavano for a year with an option for the back end of the rotation. if hes healty(haha), he could be a valuable commodity.

Abreu asking for three years is not unreasonable. I don't see why the Yankees would not make an attempt to sign him.

The only thing Pavano should be doing for the Yanks is cleaning bathrooms at the stadium. Good riddance!

The Mets should sign Zambrano. >:)

Not that it should mean anything, but it's possible Dempster's performance in the All-Star game could have caught the eye of Brian Cashman.

They should decline Martes option and offer him arbitration to get the picks if he declines. That way those picks could make up for the loss of CC signing or a Burnett signing.

"The Mets should sign Zambrano. >:)"

"I like the idea of trying to resurrect Zambrano's career, just to torture the Mets."
Kinda like Benitez? Most of us Mets fans were laughing when the Yankees picked him up.

it was worth giving it a shot
at least we only pay a fraction of what the Mets pay.

Enjoy another year of 30+ blown saves ;)

Easy now. It would've only been 29 if Wagner had been healthy!

"...right now he considers Chien-Ming Wang and Joba Chamberlain his rotation."
That's the right mentality.
