I have to agree with Mike. Why shouldn't the Yanks take a look at McPherson? He'll cost nothing but a roster spot and the Yanks have a short term need at 3B until A-Rod gets back.

Drew, I get annoyed every time you say you're my friend. Just a little feedback for ya. All the same, I do appreciate your work here.

The Tigers better take Skelton back or get someone very useful in return. Skelton should have never been left unprotected.

Totally agree. A capable defensive catcher that's mashed in high A, showing fantastic patience, and he may even turn out to be a capable defensive second baseman?
The guy has some potentially really valuable characteristics, versatility and patience, and even though he needs to show he can do it at higher levels considering this is his age 24 season, he seems like a potentially solid young player.

When Dallas was in Anaheim, he showed some of the best dead center/opposite field power I had ever seen in a young prospect. Too bad for him, and us, that his back gave out.
Something deep down told me we should keep our faith in Troy Glaus and he ended up having 2 healthy 30+ HR, 90/100+ RBI seasons and has been healthy 3 of the past 4 seasons. Something for us Angel fans still ponder.
Anyways, Dallas McPhereson is your man at 3B if you are the Yankees -- or a fan -- and you need to replace A-Rod's production temporarily.
I head Dallas was tearing it up again in the Marlins' system again.
Yankee fans won't be disappointed with a healthy Dallas McPhereson, and then when A-Rod returns, you could have some valuable trade bait for another starting pitcher.
And you know Brian Cashman will be out on the trade market for a starting pitcher all season. There's another whole different debate.

I always followed Dallas McPherson in his time with the Angels. I mean if the guy can stay healthy all season he could hit 40 homers. That is exactly why the Angels should have given him more time. You could probably sign him for around league minimum, so I don't see a reason not to.
