The Pirates designated infielder Pedro Ciriaco, announced the Pirates in a press release making the Nate McLouth signing official. Ciriaco, 26, was acquired from Arizona in a 2010 trade deadline deal for Chris Snyder. He struggled offensively this year in Triple-A, playing mostly the middle infield positions.

He couldnt hit curveballs, and wanted to sacrifice a chicken in the clubhouse. good move.
About the chicken thing…he didn’t know that there was a non-compete agreement with Primanti Brothers at PNC. All he wanted to do was make the Ragin Cajun Chicken Breast with Cheese sandwich fresh.
Good choice Neil. He just wasn’t being utilized. I think another team may take a chance on him, but overall I don’t think he’s going to make it in the bigs.
