- Astros manager Bo Porter is pushing for Michael Morse in Houston, tweets Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. Morse is said to be willing to do a one-year deal to re-establish his value.
- Rangers GM Jon Daniels says that he has had a few conversations with Nelson Cruz's agent and will continue to talk with him, tweets Richard Durrett of ESPNDallas.com.
- The Angels aren't close to any free agents signings, so if Matt Garza is nearing a deal somewhere, it's not with the Halos, tweets Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

I don’t like the idea of Hart in the outfield so I am hoping a better option gets pulled into the club. Still crossing my fingers for Choo. I don’t pay the bills there so as long as someone else is signing his checks…why not?

Maybe they are out right now but that doesn’t mean they can’t get back in the running.
I didn’t see that Choo agreed to a contract anywhere, did you? I read that he is still weighing his options which means Mariners, so long as they are offering him a contract, are still in.
Morse to Colorado would be a great fit
It was Ibanez, Mike Morse and Jason Bay in 2013; Corey Hart is the first of the new edition of Mariners outfield statuary. Who’s next (shudder) Nelson Cruz?
Mariners are the big winners this week but morse would be a terrible pickup. He’s awful.
