I wouldn’t call JJ’s Padres deal “extremely team friendly,” especially since they’re not a big spending team. He is going there to rebuild his value and is earning a salary befit for someone with his past. Just because another team might pay him more doesn’t make this extremely team friendly.
I miss Sosa.
